This Zero Voltage Switching (Zero Voltage Switching) driver circuit is referred to as “ZVS circuit” by domestic enthusiasts. Because of its high power, low heat, simple and reliable, it is widely used by enthusiasts to drive spark gap Tesla coil (SGTC) and Jacob’s ladder, Marx generator and other devices. Use 12-24V DC input, 12V requires the power supply current is not less than 4A, 24V is not less than 8A. It can be powered by switching power supply, battery, lithium battery pack, or it can be rectified and filtered by high-power transformer, and the filtering capacitance is not less than 10000uF.
About the high voltage pack: the general black and white color TV high voltage pack can be used, regardless of the model. The more power, the better. Using ZVS to drive the high voltage pack is already making the high voltage pack overload, so the breakdown damage is a normal phenomenon, and it is not a quality problem of the high voltage pack, please try not to work for a long time under high power! (High voltage pack is a consumable product, please choose high quality high power pack)
Primary winding of high voltage pack: primary winding please use 1.5MM square wire 5 +5 turns (that is, 10 intermediate taps), winding in the same direction (wire please bring your own or go to the hardware store to buy home improvement wire)
About arc length: When the input voltage is 12v/5A, the high-voltage arc distance is about 1-2 cm. The greater the input voltage and current, the greater the output power, the longer the arc distance, the maximum input 30v/10A, up to 5 cm or more. If the arc is too short, check whether the input power is sufficient.
About power: circuit output power depends on your input power, if you only 30W power, even if you do a 200W zvs, the output is not up to 100w, 200W, so the input power must be sufficient, power = voltage * current!

Matters needing attention
1. After installation, carefully check the drawings several times to confirm that all components are welded correctly
2. Please pay attention to the positive and negative signs of the power supply at the input end of the driver board, and then power on after checking and confirming to prevent the backburning board
3. It is recommended that the voltage of the test machine be 12v, which can prevent the board burning caused by problems or wrong connection
4. The limit input of the driver board is 30v DC and 10A current, and the limit value is not recommended. Do not run for a long time under overvoltage and overcurrent. The driver plate is not suitable for induction heating, if used for induction heating, it is recommended that the input voltage is below 15v. When used for induction heating or high-power long-term use, it is necessary to add fan heat dissipation, if the heat dissipation is poor, it will cause the temperature of the MOS tube capacitor is too high, and it will accelerate the aging and even burning of the MOS tube and other parts.
